Everyone is aware of the overall flood situation in the country. Analysts predicted that current flood situation of this country is very outregious rather than which terrible floods have hit Bangladesh in recent times. The dams and embankments of the Northern districts are also collapsing where people took shelter after losing their home and belongings and everything is floating away. Flood affected people are starving and they are looking forward to getting a little help from us.
The Lighter Youth Foundation is a Registered Voluntary Organization (Reg No. S-12550/2017). So far our provostship we have been working for our country, for society, for the poor and helpless people by this time. In the previous time we have reached out to the flood affected people with your help where no relief has been reached. This time we are going to distribute relief goods in Sonatla upazila of Bogra district along the river Jamuna.
Our primary goal is to provide relief goods among the 1,000 affected families in Sonatala border area. After a quick survey we have identified that this is a very remote area and it is very important to get relief quickly.
Initially, the bucket list we made for each family as following:
★ Flattened Rice (Chira) – 4 kg
★ Puffed Rice (Muri) – 2 kg
★ jaggery (Ghur)- 3 kg
★ Toast Biscuit – 1kg
★ Phitkiri – 500 gms
★ Dettol Mini Soap – 2 pcs
★ Lighter 1 pcs
★ Orsaline 10 pcs
In all, an amount of relief of around TK 600 will be required for each family. We urge you to stand beside this initiative that we have taken to distribute some meals for the flood affected people.
